Commissioning is required to validate the acceptable working condition of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire/Life Safety, building envelope, interior systems, lighting, and building security, etc of a newly constructed or renovated building. It is done to verify the architect or engineers design intent has been implicated as planned. Commissioning is often done by an independent firm towards the end of a project.
