I'm trying to get some contextual information on how different pipe types/sizes, drilling rigs, pilot rods, soil types, etc influence the maximum drilling radii and why. I know this is a loaded question so I will pose a scenario, a pipe material type and size, and a target depth/radii. Hopefully a pro can comment on whether or not the target radii would be constructable or not and how the variables influence eachother.
Scenario: Drill 12" Restrain joint ductile Iron pipe under a stream. Right of way available is linear 300FT from drill start to drill stop. Grade is relatively flat. 5' below bottom of stream is 22' deep. Can it be done?
