We're designing a parking lot for a client and there are some existing dead pipe utilities that will be below the new parking lot. Our client is on a budget but we don't want to leave them below grade without addressing them and leave ourselves open to callbacks when the pavement settles. There is a 60 year old 12" clay tile storm sewer. An old (maybe 60-80 year) 8" cast iron water main that we think is plugged at both ends. And lastly a fairly new 12 or 15" pvc sanitary sewer. What would be the best way to approach the situation?
