TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FENCE
Temporary construction fence is primarily aimed at safety, but also discourages theft and loitering on a construction site. There are typically 1-2 double gates on a small construction project. The fence is typically chain link and approximately 6-8 feet tall. The posts can be on temporary stanchions or cored into the ground or pavement.
Maintaining the fence is typically a task taken on by the superintendent of the company contracting the work with the owner of the project. Maintaining the fence and gates can be a surprisingly challenging and daunting task as many workers do not take the time to properly close and secure the gates as they walk in and out.
The fence is commonly rented, set up, and taken down by a rental company specializing in such work.
