I work with a development firm who wants to build some apartment buildings on a property that I'm almost certain has at least 3 or 4 old fuel/oil tanks below grade. It's also very possible they were disposing of old oil on site before regulations were as stringent as they are now. What sort of processes, challenges, and costs should I expect if the developer decides to proceed?
